Mirrors, Concrete and a 'visitor'

The start of what we hope will be a VERY BUSY and ACCOMPLISHED week!!  Our bathroom mirrors were delivered and placed today...we decided against backsplashes and framing the mirrors...we thought it would be too busy and wanted to keep it simple.  We like the look but it does make the rooms look even bigger!

THEN we 'drew' out the pattern for the concrete stairs and pad in the back of the house and the sidewalk and patio in the front.  The pictures don't really help much but hopefully you get the idea.  The concrete should be done Tuesday or Wednesday...as always with our fingers crossed!

AND THEN AN UNEXPECTED AND UNWANTED VISITOR!

...over the past week and a half we've had a visitor.  First time, I was showing our friend Barb the house and we noticed him... (zoom in...this guy is '50 cent piece' huge!)

in the downstairs tub.  I went running but Barb gathered him up on the broom and took him outside. No harm, no foul.

Five days later...he was back...in the tub.  Mike was cleaning out the vents downstairs and called me ... 'he's back!'.  Mike vacuumed him up with the shopvac.

Fast forward to this past weekend.  We worked Saturday and Sunday cleaning the walls getting ready for carpet...Saturday, the tub was clear, Sunday, it was not!  Aggh!  Seriously?  Mike was ready to kill him but I talked him into putting him on the broom, (again).  This time though Mike actually walked him down the street and far, far..away.

And now ... we wait...
